TRIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS & RESULTS!...The SCJRTC has announced their Spring Fox Frolic I & II trials to be held April 17th & 18th, 2010. You won't want to miss this, the only trial in So. Cal. Mark your calendar now, no really...mark your calendar! Your terrier will thank you. Also be sure to check the JRTCA for upcoming NEW trials that maybe close to those of us in the south-west corner of the world. There is a new trial in its beginning stages to be held in Flagstaff over Memorial Day weekend, May 29 & 30, 2010. This is a new trial so let's support them with a great turnout! SCJRTC Playday November 14-15, 2009 in Anaheim, CAA great day of fun for terrier lovers of all kinds. There was a wonderful turnout and we met so many friendly, new people. These events are so great for anyone with a terrier that wants to have some fun and burn a little of that notorious energy. We look forward to the next one in February 2010, check the SCJRTC site for dates and times. This is the only JRTCA club in SoCal and they do a wonderful job putting together fun things to do with our terries.
Diggin' West September 26-27, 2009 in Madera, CAThis is another favorite trial for us. Close(r) to home and well run with so many things to do. Great friends and fun for all! Yama returned with a bang from her "maternity leave" and was GTG Reserve CHAMPION on Saturday and GTG CHAMPION on Sunday! Eqypt bailed on the GTG tunnel both days...hmm sometimes she's too smart! However, she redeemed herself beautifully with CHAMPION SUPER EARTH GTG both days! George was awesome too, he was Reserve CHAMPION Super Earth GTG Saturday. Sunday he was Reserve CHAMPION GTG. Reserve Racing CHAMPION both days! Windy was Veteran GTG CHAMPION on Saturday and Veteran Reserve GTG CHAMPION on Sunday. She got too excited on the super earth tunnel, and kept wanting to go into the tunnel where she "knew" that rat was in.
Gunnison Grand July 3-4, 2009 in Gunnison, COThis is one of our favorite events to go to, where we look forward to getting away from the desert heat and enjoy great fun with great terrier friends. Very well organized and such a nice location. Not to mention the unbelievable beauty that is Colorado! Eqypt was RACING CHAMPION Saturday! She was 3rd in GTG on Sunday. George was Reserve CHAMPION in Racing, 3rd in GTG Saturday then Reserve CHAMPION in GTG Sunday. Windy was Veteran CHAMPION Saturday and GTG RESERVE CHAMPION on Sunday. Yamika was off on "maternity leave".
Easter Bash I March 28-29, 2009 in Anaheim, CAVery nice trial spread out over two days. Made for a more relaxed environment and the SCJRTC did an outstanding job. George was SUPER EARTH GTG CHAMPION and Windy was Veteran SUPER EARTH GTG RESERVE CHAMPION Eqypt & Windy both were FIRST in their class in Barn Hunt. Records show Egypt also won FIRST in Racing while George held a solid Second. Egypt, George & Yamika took 3rd, 4th, & 5th respectively in Championship GTG. Yama also took 3rd in Bred by Exhibitor. We also brought along our little Abbey and she took 1st in Novice GTG...Yeah Abbey!
Gold Rush IX & X May 23-24, 2008 in Grass Valley, CAGeorge was GTG CHAMPION and Yamika was Reserve GTG CHAMPION Gunnison Grand I & II June 24-25, 2008 in very beautiful Gunnison, COThis was such a well run trial that everything flowed so smoothly we even had energy to burn after the events, a rarity at best. While we were at GTG, George tried hard to hang himself after breaking his crate, yes his metal crate, but we had several wonderful people "rescue" him from...well himself, for which we are eternally grateful. We'll be looking into Titanium Crates for our next event. ;-) Anyway, on Saturday George was RACING CHAMPION and Egypt was Reserve GTG CHAMPION, and Sunday George was Reserve GTG CHAMPION. Diggin West XI & XII September 27-28, 2008 in Madera, CA.We had a wonderful weekend in Madera that finished off the season. We have such wonderful friends that we were able to get together with and made a few new ones too! This was an especially fun trial for us, we had one of our pups, PL Ivan, come with his family and wow, did he do well! On Saturday Ivan was 1st in Novice Conformation and 2nd in Suitability to Raccoon/Badger! Then Sunday he bumped up into the seasoned competition and won 5th in Spayed/Neutered Terriers (out of 7 entries), and 3rd in Suitability to Raccoon/Badger. Well Done Ivan! As for the gang here, we had our own special treat, Windy is now a Veteran and competed VERY well in her new classification - Saturday - Veteran GTG CHAMPION, 3rd Veteran in Super Earth; Sunday - Veteran GTG Reserve CHAMPION, 2nd Veteran in Super Earth. George is George and in all his zeal "broke" the tunnel both days, busting out the side then having to run back inside cost him some time, yet he managed a 3rd both days, and he sure is fun to watch...Judges beware...George is on the loose! (Literally) ;-) Egypt and Yama get to share the glory, Saturday Yamika won GTG CHAMPION then Sunday Egypt won GTG CHAMPION, these girls were great! Yama also placed 2nd to a beautiful little terrier in the Bred by Exhibitor class on Saturday as well. This was a very rewarding trial and we had so much fun, several of the local SCJRTC club members were there and they all did very well too, it makes for such a good time when everyone does well but more importantly when we have fun with our terriers!
